Insurance, Rates & Session Info

I am in network with Medical Mutual. If your primary behavioral/mental health benefits are covered through Medical Mutual, I will take care of the billing process for your counseling services. Please note that you are responsible for any co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, or any service fees that are not covered through your insurance provider. These fees or any previous balance is due prior to the start of your scheduled session.

New clients, I strongly encourage you to contact your insurance company prior to your first session to gather details on your financial responsibility.

It’s important to understand that in order to be eligible to bill your counseling services through your insurance company, you need to have a diagnosed mental health disorder.  Some clients decide to pay privately for their counseling services instead. This eliminates the need for a diagnosed mental health disorder and omits the need to share private details with insurance companies in an effort to justify the necessity of counseling services.

Choosing to pay privately for counseling services simplifies the billing process and allows us to maintain flexibility within your treatment so that our time and effort can be focused on the important work of healing and finding harmony within your life.

Initial/Intake counseling sessions last between 55-60 minutes and the fee is $175.

Individual counseling sessions last between 53-55 minutes and the fee is $150 per session.

90 minute sessions are also available and can be helpful specifically for those participating in EMDR. The fee for a 90 minute session is $225 per session.

If you have insurance but are not covered through Medical Mutual, the good news is we can still work together. Many health insurance companies offer “Out of Network” (OON) benefits to their members. This means you are required to pay for your counseling services out of pocket and then submit a document called a “superbill” to your insurance company for reimbursement. I can provide a superbill to you on a monthly basis. This document will provide proof of payment for services and most insurance companies reimburse a significant portion of OON services.

Cancellation Policy:
If for any reason you’re unable to attend your counseling appointment, I ask that you notify me more than 24 hours prior to your appointment time. For any missed appointments or appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, you will be responsible for the full session fee.
